Bidding has Begun!

We’re working to get the online auction as user-friendly as possible.

The best way to make a bid is to go the “2012 Birdhouse Auction” tab above and click on the birdhouse you’re interested in bidding on.  Make your bid at the bottom of the specific birdhouse page.  The bid will be reflected in the sidebar to the right.

Good luck and may auction fortune be with you!

Jay Inslee creates birdhouse for auction!

Gubernatorial candidate and longtime Islander Jay Inslee has shown his stripes with his creation “Zebrabird”.  Inslee’s generous support for affordable housing and Housing Resources Board is evident through his design contribution to the Rise & Shine Birdhouse Auction.

Jay Inslee quipped, “Scientists predict that the combined forces of climate change and evolution will produce a Zebrabird, a hybrid of the crow and the seagull.  If so, here is its home, something we want everyone to have, avians and humans alike.”

You can see the Zebrabird house along with 24 other creative contributions from local artists at the First Friday Artwalk in downtown Winslow tomorrow, Friday, September 7th.

The small village of homes will be on display in the courtyard adjacent to Columbia Bank for the Artwalk and will be exhibited inside the bank throughout the rest of September.
