Housing Resources Board is Bainbridge Island's Affordable Housing Provider

About HRB

About HRB

The Housing Resources Board (HRB) is Bainbridge Island’s only independent non-profit affordable housing provider and advocate. Because escalating rents and real estate prices threaten the community’s social and cultural diversity, it is our goal to develop and maintain affordable housing on the island and to educate the community about this critical need.

Established in 1989, the Housing Resources Board is a Community Land Trust (CLT) that provides long-term rental housing, rental assistance, rental referrals, and below-market rate homeownership opportunities.  We operate programs that teach skills of financial responsibility, match owners and tenants, and provide home modifications to enable the elderly and disabled to live independently.  We are governed by a 13 - 18 member board, and we actively partner with the city and local nonprofits.
