When developers Bill Carruthers and Andrew Lonseth began the Vineyard Lane project in 2006, their motivation was to have the project reflect the values of the island community. That meant building green and including affordable housing.
Thanks to their vision, this 45 unit condominium project hosts four of HRB’s first CLT (Community Land Trust) units. The four CLT homeowners own the condominium at Vineyard Lane with a deed restriction in place guaranteeing future sales of the units will be reserved for low to moderate income level buyers. This model assures that the condominiums will continue to provide affordable housing inventory in the future.
