The challenges of affordable housing on Bainbridge Island continue to grow, both for low and also moderate income families, seniors, and workers of all types. HRB’s response to these challenges is to help households of modest means preserve their owned or rental home, or help them secure a reasonable alternative.
HRB’s own 98 rental units last year provided a safe, decent home (apartment or house) to 228 people. We work in partnership with Helpline House and other non-profit and for-profit agencies to provide the support that Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap needs. HRB also provides management services for the seven affordable units in the Islander Mobile Home Park that are owned by the City of Bainbridge Island. HRB’s interrelated housing support programs are:
