Without affordable housing, our nurses, teachers, policemen, shop clerks, janitors and all the other hardworking people who contribute to our community may not be able to afford to live in the community they serve. Businesses struggle to keep employees when there is not affordable housing available for working families. Families are forced to move outside the community to find housing they can afford.

Affordable housing brings greater opportunities for success to low to moderate-income families. Children grow up in safe neighborhoods, with thriving schools. Parents are able to live in the community in which they work, which provides a sense of belonging. Families thrive when given the basic necessities to do so.
