Carl, an ordained Lutheran minister, came to HRB in 2007 after serving as the founding director of Upper Valley MEND (Meeting Each Need with Dignity) in Leavenworth, WA. MEND is a multi-service agency hosting emergency and recreational programs. MEND also offers an affordable home ownership program using the community land trust model. Carl served on a number of local and statewide boards including: Leavenworth City Council, Housing Authority of Chelan County, Link Transit Board, Chair of the Washington Food Coalition, and the state advisory board for the Emergency Food Assistance Program. He currently serves on the board of the Northwest Community Land Trust Coalition. |

Joan joined the staff of HRB in November of 2007 and is thrilled to be part of a team dedicated to assisting people find affordable housing on Bainbridge Island and Kitsap Peninsula. As the former owner of Wide World Books and Maps in Seattle and co-owner of Winslow Paint Co. on Bainbridge, Joan understands the importance of customer service and looks forward to using her skills with the
clients she’ll be serving through Housing Resources Board. |

Jeanette runs the day to day operations of HRB's maintenance department and oversees the preventative maintenance program. She has over twenty years experience in building maintenance including nine years with a large, top-rated housing authority. She is committed to maintaining HRB's inventory of apartments in a manner that assures their existence for generations to come. |

Mark Holmgren

Mark Holmgren is happy and proud to be working for an organization benefiting those who need housing assistance. From experience, he understands the exhausting terror, anxiety, depression, and the adrenaline-driven fierce energy it can take day after day just to survive being homeless. Mark and his wife Chris have seven beautiful children together. Chris is a para-medical driver and Mark provides sound support and web recordings for peace, social, and economic justice events. He is now a proud member of the HRB maintenance department. |

Bill has over 30 years of urban planning and urban development project experience. He was the Planning Director for the Municipality of Anchorage, Deputy Director of the Puget Sound Water Quality Authority, Planning Manager of Carlson Architects and member and former chair of the Bainbridge Island Planning Commission. |
